Ok, if you read my 'upcoming' post on Orange Marmalade, you know that I was pretty excited about it. What pulled me in was the vampire aspect. But...2-3 months later, I still can't get into the show. It was bland right off the bat and horribly developed. I mean, it wasn't even developed at all! And it shouldn't be that way when the episodes are an hour long each. That makes no sense and I hate when they do that. How do you expect someone to watch something for that long and it isn't even worth watching?
Yes, this is supposed to be a review of some sort. An half xxxx one because I honestly cannot stand to watch anymore of it, and had only made it to episode 4.
I swear nothing advanced. Why hadn't I suspected it to be cliche and uncreative- unoriginal? I, unlike a lot of hardcore vampire fanatics, don't criticize the works that have twisted and reinvented facts. Because I find it stupid to do that. They can change whatever they want. I love both pretty and ugly blood-sucking creatures. But this drama was too obvious and didn't do it for me. What the heck was up with the vibrant purple eyes?!
The characters introductions were rushed and they lacked depth. I wasn't able to even relate to any of them. Instead of actually being a race, the vampires acted like they were showing off their quirks. It was so cringeful to watch. If you want to watch something horribly funny or for background noise, then go head But other than those two reasons, I DO NOT recommend it.
Unfortunately, I am not going to watch it any further. I'm through. And I don't like not finishing a show, but what gives?
If you have watched it and have some arguments of your own, let me know. I'd love to also hear from someone who actually enjoyed it.
Watch more dramas, listen to more G-Dragon and learn some Korean! <3
